Tank Vac Systems – Keep Your Water Tank Cleaner
A simple, automatic solution to help reduce sediment and build-up in your water tank.
Over time, dirt, dust, organic matter and sediment can settle on the bottom of rainwater and storage tanks. A Tank Vac System is designed to automatically remove this build-up, helping keep your tank cleaner and protecting pumps, filters and other equipment connected to your water supply.
How Does a Tank Vac System Work?
In a standard water tank, when heavy rain fills the tank, the cleaner, fresher water at the top simply flows out through the overflow. Meanwhile, sediment, dirt and sludge remain settled at the bottom of the tank.
A Tank Vac System changes the way your tank overflows.
Instead of only allowing the fresh water at the top to escape, the system uses the overflow to create a siphoning action from the bottom of the tank – where the sediment and sludge collect.
As your tank fills and begins to overflow, water is drawn from the bottom of the tank, carrying settled dirt, sediment and organic matter out with it.
So every time your tank fills and overflows, it gets an opportunity to clean itself from the bottom up.
Rather than wasting your freshest water from the top, the Tank Vac System helps remove the older, sediment-heavy water from the bottom – making better use of every good rainfall.
Why Install a Tank Vac System?
- Cleaner Tank Water – Helps remove sediment, dirt and organic material that settles at the bottom of your tank.
- Less Sediment Build-Up – Regular removal helps prevent years of sludge accumulating in the base of the tank.
- Protect Your Equipment – Cleaner water can help reduce sediment reaching pumps, filters, irrigation equipment and household water systems.
- Reduced Tank Maintenance – Helps reduce the amount of sediment that may otherwise require manual tank cleaning.
- Automatic Operation – Once installed, the system works automatically when operating conditions allow.
- No Power Required – Uses natural water movement and siphoning rather than electricity.
- Suitable for Existing Tanks – Tank Vac systems can be installed on many existing rainwater and water storage tanks.
Suitable For
Tank Vac Systems are a great addition to:
- Residential rainwater tanks
- Farm and agricultural water tanks
- Dairy water storage
- Commercial water storage tanks
- Rainwater harvesting systems
- Tanks supplying pumps and filtration systems
Protect Your Water From the Tank Up
Water filtration is important, but keeping the tank itself cleaner is another important part of maintaining your water system.
By removing sediment from where it collects at the bottom of the tank, a Tank Vac System can help reduce build-up before it reaches your pump or filtration system.
